a timely manner.

Cass County

New Work Today and Updates/Change

Route 71: Resurfacing will close one lane of southbound Route 71 in various locations at Route A from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 1 through Aug 1.

Route 71: The east outer road of Route 71 at 163rd Street (Route Y) will be closed beginning 7 a.m. Monday, June 8, through July 18.

Route 2: Pavement repairs will close the right lane of Route 2 between Route T and Route D from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 6-17. 

Route 7: Resurfacing at night will close a lane of northbound Route 7 at 163rd Street from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. June 29-July 7.

Route O: Bridge deck replacement has closed the Route O Bridge over Poney Creek just south of Freeman. The bridge will reopen July 23.

Route E: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route E in various locations at Route VV from 5 a.m. July 6 to 9 p.m. July 10. 

Clay County

Route 169: Bridge maintenance will close the left lane of northbound Route 169 at I-435 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 7-23.

Route A: Utility work will close a lane of Route A in various locations at 112th St. from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, July 7-10.

Route 92: Culvert replacement will close Route 92 between Route A and Route DD from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.

Route 210: Pavement repairs will close a lane of westbound Route 210 in various locations at Route 291 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 6.

I-35: Bridgework will close the left lane of southbound I-35 between I435 and Route 69 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday-Friday, July 6-10.

 

I-35: Bridgework will close the right lane of northbound I-35 between Levee Road and 14th Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 6.

I-35: Grading will close the left lane of northbound I-35 between Route 24 and Front street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 6-July 10.

I-29: Resurfacing at night will close two lanes of northbound I-29 in various locations between Route 69 and Tiffany Springs from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 6-July 10.

Route 210: Bridgework will close the left two lanes of eastbound Armour/Route 210 between I-35 and Saline Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 6-July 10.

Route 210: Bridgework will close the left two lanes of eastbound Armour/Route 210 between I-35 and Ozark from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 26 and Monday-Friday, July 6-July 10.

Route 210: Bridgework will close the left two lanes of westbound Armour/Route 210 between I-35 and Ozark from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 26 and Monday-Friday, July 6-July 10.

Route 210: Shoulder work at night will close various lanes of east and westbound Route 210 between Route 291 to Route EE from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through July 10.

Route CC: Bridge deck replacement will close Route CC Bridge over Clear Creek, east of Route 33 and West of Route C from Monday, July 7-August 8.

Route FF: Chip seal operations will close a lane of Route FF in various locations between Routes 7 and H from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, July 7-8.

Route 7: Milling will close a lane of Route 7 in either direction at various locations near Pink Hill Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, July 6-7.

 Route 291: Pavement construction at night will close northbound Route 291 at I-470 and Colbern Road from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.   Wednesday, July 8 through Sunday morning, July 12.

I-470: New pavement construction will close the right lane of eastbound I-470 between Woods Chapel and Colbern Road from July 8-11.

I-435: Shoulder work will close right lane of southbound I-435 between Route 78 and 40 from 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 through Wednesday morning, July 8.

Route 71: Pavement resurfacing at night will close various lanes of northbound Route 71 between 95th Street and 7rth Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday evening through Friday morning, July 6-10.

I-70: Bridge and ramp work will close the eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-35 on the north side of the downtown loop through July 17.  In addition, the ramp to Independence Avenue will close during the bridgework. All traffic will be detoured to the south side of the loop to access northbound I-35.

I-470: Bridgework has rerouted traffic onto the temporary bypass for north and southbound I-470 between Colbern and Woods Chapel Road through the end of August.

Route 291: Pavement striping will close a lane of north and southbound Route 291 in various locations between Route 50 and route 150 from 1 a.m. Sunday, June 28 to Midnight July 3.

Route 210: Shoulder work at night will close a lane of eastbound Route 210 in various locations between Routes 291 and EE from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. June 25 through July 10.

Route 50/I-470: New ramp construction will close the westbound Route 50 ramp to eastbound I-470 through Aug. 14. Traffic will be redirected to continue west on Route 50 to the Colbern Road exit, then west on Colbern Road over Route 50 to the ramp to eastbound Route 50, then east to the eastbound I-470 ramp.

Route 71: pavement repair at night will close various lanes of north and southbound Route 71 between Bannister and Gregory Blvd. from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. from June 1-July 11.

Route 24: Bridgework will close a lane of east and westbound Route 24 between Smalley and Ewing Ave. from 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 through September 11. In addition, Ewing Ave. will be closed between Route 24 and Roberts.

Route 24: New pavement construction will restrict traffic on Route 24 at Route 71 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through July 31.

Route 24:  Bridge construction will close one lane of Route 24 in each direction between Sterling and Winner Road through the end of August.

Route 24: Bridgework will close the left lane of east and westbound Route 24 at Winchester Ave. from 9 a.m. through September 11. 

Route E: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route E in various locations at Route VV and Route 150 from 5 a.m. July 6 to 9 a.m. July 10. 

Johnson County

Route 50: pavement repairs will close one lane of eastbound Route 50 between the Jackson/Johnson County Line to Warrensburg from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, July 6.

Route F: Bridge deck repairs will close Route F between County Road 475 and Route BB from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.

Route 131: Bridge maintenance will close a lane of Route 131 at Route 58 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through July 23.

Route 50: New pavement construction will restrict traffic on eastbound and westbound Route 50 at Business 50 from 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, through December 1.

Route 50: New interchange construction will shift eastbound and westbound Route 50 east of Warrensburg to two-lane, head-to-head traffic through the end of 2009.

Route 13: Road construction of the Route 13 East Loop will close East Division Road from a quarter mile east of Devasher Road to the west side of County Road 341 beginning 7 a.m. Thursday, June 11. East Division Road is scheduled to reopen by August 11.

Route 131: Bridge maintenance will close a lane of Route 131 at Route 50 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through July 10.

Lafayette County

Route HH: Chip seal operations will close a lane of Route HH in various locations between Routes Z and 131 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, July 8-9.

 I-70: Resurfacing at night will close various lanes of east and westbound I-70 between Routes F and 131 from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 16 through September 16.

Platte County

Route 9: Pavement repairs will close one lane of Route 9 in various locations at Route FF from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 6.

 

I-29: Resurfacing at night will close two lanes of northbound I-29 between Tiffany Springs and Route 69 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through July 3.

I-635: Slide repairs and roadway improvements will close the right lane of shoulder of southbound I-635 south of the I-29/635 interchange from 9 a.m. Saturday, June 6 to Friday, July 31.

Route 9: Shoulder and median work will close the left lane of southbound Route 9 at I-635 beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, June 22-July 31.

 

Ray County

Route M: Culvert replacement will close Route M between Routes U and C from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Route M: Culvert replacement will close Route M between Route 10 and Route U from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, July 6.

Long-Term Closures

Clay County

I-29/35: Drainage and bridgework has closed the off-ramp from northbound I-29/35 to Bedford Avenue for two years. Motorists should continue north to 16th Ave. and re-enter Interstate 29/35 going south to the Levee Road exit to access the Paseo Industrial District.

I-35: Bridgework will reduce Front Street at I-35 in each direction through September 2010.

I-29/35: Bridge construction will close the southbound I-29/35 ramp to westbound Armour Road and the ramp from westbound Armour Road to southbound I-29/35 for at least one year.

Jackson County

I-35: News ramp construction will close until June 2010 the southbound I-35 ramp to Paseo Boulevard.

I-29: Bridgework will close the right lane of northbound I-29 at Front Street through July 2009.

I-35: Lane reconfiguration has closed the ramp from north Paseo to northbound I-35 through July 2010.

I-470/Route 50: Bridge construction has narrowed lanes through the interchange, and will close lanes in either direction during non-peak hours.

Route 71: Bridge and pavement removal has closed the ramp from southbound Route 71 to Route 150. Traffic exiting southbound Route 71 at Route 150 must use alternatives: Either the 140th Street ramp to the west outer road; or proceeding south on Route 71 to 155th Street, then east on 155th over the highway to the northbound Route 71 on ramp road and back north to Route 150. The closure will continue for at least 9 months.

Route 71: The ramp from Route 150 to northbound Route 71 has closed and will remain closed until spring 2010. Motorists are urged to use the east outer road to the ramp north of 140th Street to access northbound Route 71.

Route 71: Route 71 has switched to two-way, head-to-head traffic near Route 150. Both northbound and southbound Route 71 between just south of 140th Street and just north of 155th Street are now two lanes in each direction (a reduction from three lanes) divided by a concrete barrier, to accommodate bridge replacement at Route 150. The temporary arrangement will last through spring 2010.

Route 24:  Bridge construction will close one lane of Route 24 in each direction between Sterling and Winner Road through the end of August.
