All MoDOT offices and maintenance facilities closed Friday, July 3, for the Fourth of July holiday. No road work is planned. However, long-term construction work zones will remain in effect over the three day weekend.

Springfield Area Road Work Schedule:
- TRAFFIC SHIFTS: Southbound Kansas Expressway over I-44: Traffic south of I-44 shifted to left and center turn lane eliminated. Also, traffic signal at location on flash -- yellow for Kansas Expressway and red for east/west traffic. Contractor crew widening intersection.
- ROAD CLOSED: Jackson Street at Route 160 in Willard: Jackson Street at south intersection of Route 160 in Willard scheduled to CLOSE for up to two months. Contractor crews widening intersection to add turn lanes and new traffic signals.

ROAD OPENED: Route 13 between Pinewood Drive and Farm Road 6: New northbound lanes OPEN to traffic. At either end of project, one lane open for northbound and southbound traffic for short distance. Also, old Route 13 becomes two-way roadway. New stop signs for westbound traffic on Farm Roads 34 and 44 and Route CC at new northbound Route 13.

NEW DRIVING PATTERN: Route 13 at I-44 in Springfield. All lanes open under Diverging Diamond Interchange configuration.
NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSINGS on Route 13 for concrete island construction. Work hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Greene County Routes ZZ and M east of Republic:
One-lane traffic at times. Be alert for large truck entering and leaving work areas. Laying asphalt to widen roadway.
- Chestnut Expressway closed between West Avenue and Kansas Expressway: Lane closings. Pavement repairs.
- Chestnut Expressway in Springfield: Workers and equipment close to traffic. Mowing.

NIGHT WORK: Route 65 between Route 14 in Ozark and Route 60 (James River Freeway) in Springfield: One northbound lane closed. Work hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights. Pavement repairs.
- Route 5 at Route YY/Harris Lane round the clock in Lebanon: Traffic shifted to the east. One through lane open in each direction and center-turn lane open. Widening intersection. Work zone speed limit is 35 mph.
- I-44 between Phillipsburg and Sleeper: Workers and equipment close to traffic. Mowing.
- Laclede County Route C near Phillipsburg: Workers and equipment. Mowing.

Route 32 at Niangua River bridge CLOSED until mid-July. Replacing bridge deck. DETOUR: Dallas County Routes H, B and M. Completion: July 18.

SHORT-TERM TRAFFIC STOPS: Route 13 near the Greene-Polk county line between Bolivar and Springfield: Southbound traffic could be stopped for up to 10 minutes at about 3 p.m. several times a week. Contractor crews blasting rock.

State routes in the Mountain Grove area: Slow-moving (8-12 mph) train of work trucks. Striping. Be alert for flashing arrows on trucks. Slow down. Do not drive on wet paint. Pass only when safe or wait until striping vehicles pull out of the way.
