Monday, July 6
- From 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the pedestrian underpass by the Science Center will be closed for concrete patching and painting. Use Kingshighway Boulevard to cross I-64 while this work is underway.
- From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound I-64 will be closed between the Clayton Warson bridge and the westbound exit to Lindbergh.
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of McCausland Avenue will be closed in each direction at I-64.
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed in each direction between Hospital Plaza and Oakland Avenue.
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of westbound Oakland Avenue will be closed at Oakview Place.
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound Eager Road to northbound I-170, and one lane of the southbound I-170 ramp to Eager will be closed at I-64 for painting bridge girders.
- From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound McKnight Road traffic will be shifted into the turn lane on the bridge over I-64, for barrier construction.

Tuesday, July 7

- At 7 a.m. Hawthorne Place on the north side of I-64 will be closed for three weeks.

St. Louis County
** Route 141 at Centurion- Crews will be making pavement repairs and working on the traffic signal at Route 141 and Centurion. Various lane closures will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This project begins Monday, July 6.
*Route 231 (Telegraph Road) - Contractor will start work on pavement overlay and various pedestrian improvements. Various lanes closures will take place on Telegraph between Christopher Road and the Meramec River from 8:30 am to 4 pm for pedestrian improvements and repair work. This project is expected to be complete by October 2009.
*Blanchette Bridge at Interstate 70- Crews will close the far two right lanes on westbound Interstate 70 beginning Tuesday, July 7 from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily Monday thru Friday, weather permitting. Crews are closing the lanes to allow for bridge inspection. The two far right lanes will be closed for approximately three weeks. Then the two far left lanes of westbound I-70 will be closed for approximately three additional weeks. The total lane restrictions for westbound I-70 are expected to be no more than six weeks.
Route 30 at Delores Drive- Crews have begun traffic signal reconstruction on Route 30 at Delores Drive near the St. Louis County/Jefferson County line. Most of the work will take place off the roadway, but periodic lane closures may occur. This project is expected to be completed September 2009.
Route 141 Southbound and Northbound between Route 30 and Old Woods Mill Rd. / South Outer Forty - Nightly lane closures will be in place for stripe removal from 7:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. daily. Lane closures will also be in place daily for striping and stripe removal operations between 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. daily. This includes ramps at Manchester Rd., Clayton Rd., Big Bend Blvd. and entrance/exit ramps at I-44. Expect narrow ramps lanes.
Lindbergh Boulevard (Route 67) Northbound between Manchester Rd. (Route 100) and Dunlora - Shoulder work will continue to take place with the removals of curb ramps on Northbound 67. Sidewalk will be closed at various locations within these limits until further notice.
*I-255 Outer Road (Koch Road & Kinswood) – Various lanes will be closed from 8 am to 8 pm for pavement coldmilling and resurfacing. Work is expected to be complete by August 2009.
*Spirit of St. Louis Overpass on Hwy 40 – Construction to build a westbound off ramp and eastbound on ramp to Hwy 40 at Spirit of St. Louis Blvd began Monday June 8. There will be construction along the shoulders of Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard, North Outer 40, and route 40 as well as trucks entering and leaving the roadway until further notice. Estimated completion date is October 1.
Route 21 (Tesson Ferry) at Meramec River – Northbound and southbound Route 21 is restricted to one lane each direction at the Meramec River. Traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes. These lanes will be restricted as work continues for the replacing of the bridge deck. Work is scheduled to be complete by December 1, 2009.
I-44 North and South Outer Roads between Route 141 and the Meramec River- Crews have completed pavement repair, and curb replacements that began in May on the Interstate 44 north and south outer roads.Beginning on Monday, June 15, weather permitting, crews will begin striping from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This project is expected to be completed in late June.
I-55 Southbound and Northbound between Lindbergh Blvd and Imperial/Main - Nightly lane closures willbe in place for stripe removal from 7:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. daily. Lane closures will also be in place for striping and stripe removals operations between 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily. Expect narrow ramp lanes at the I-270/I-255 interchange and at Lindbergh Blvd.
*Interstate 44 at Lewis Rd – Crews will continue rehabilitation work on the westbound Meramec River Bridge. Various lane closures should be expected nightly from 7pm to 6am this week. The westbound Meramec River Bridge will have three 11-foot wide lanes and temporary lane shifts throughout the summer months. The westbound on ramp from Lewis Road will be closed until mid-September. Drivers will need to take eastbound I-44 to Antire Road as a detour for westbound I-44 during the ramp closure. Rehabilitation work on the Lewis Road Bridge Deck will also continue. Expect narrow lanes on the Lewis Road Bridge. Motorists should use caution while traveling through this work zone.
Gravois (Route 30) Between Musick and Laclede Station Road -
Project has been completed but minor corrections are being done. Crews will be on the project and some temporary lane closures are possible during daytime hours.
Lindbergh Blvd. (Route 67) from I-70 to Manchester (Route 100) – The contractor is doing final clean up on Lindbergh Boulevard for traffic signal networking. Work will take place from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday. This project is expected to be completed by mid June 2009.
Lindbergh Blvd. (Route 67) at Whitehall Manor Drive– The contractor is performing final clean up at this intersection. Work will take place from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday. This project is expected to be completed by mid June 2009.
Lindbergh Blvd. (Route 67) from Elm Grove to New Halls Ferry Rd. (Route AC)– The contractor has removed the southbound shoulder from Patterson to south of Lindsay for new pavement construction. They will perform road-widening operations at this location and there will be no shoulder in this area during the course of the work. Mill and fill operations will continue along with striping operations from Patterson to New Halls Ferry Rd. The contractor will also be installing sidewalk, curb, gutter and driveways from Patterson to New Halls Ferry Rd as well as traffic signal equipment. There will be various lane closures on Rte. 67 from 7:00 pm to 5:30 am Monday thru Friday. Signal work will be done during the day with no lane closures. This project is expected to be completed by July 2009.

St. Louis City
**Entrance Ramp, Southwest Ave to Eastbound I-44 – Revisions to the ramp to allow westbound traffic on Southwest Ave. to access eastbound I-44, and repair of the slope protection under the I-44 bridge over Southwest Ave. Expect narrowed lanes on the ramp and on Southwest Ave when workers are present, beginning July 6, 2009. No impacts are expected on I-44.
**I-64 from Kingshighway to east of Jefferson- Project includes removing and replacing asphalt, pavement repair, rehabilitate two bridges, median barrier, and update guardrail. Contractor will be bringing equipment to the job site and preparing work zone signs. The Papin Ramp to eastbound I-64 will be closing on July 6, 2009. Detour: Boyle south or Sarah south to Manchester west to Kingshighway north to I-64 east. Detour will be signed.
Various Bridge Overpasses over Interstate 55- Rehabilitation work on the overpasses at 6 locations over I-55 in St. Louis City. MoDOT and its contractor, Contract Strategies, have closed two of the seven overpasses, the Arsenal Bridge over I-55 and the Sidney Bridge over I-55. The work includes removal and repair of the existing deck overlay as well as replacement of guardrail & sidewalks. WB Arsenal and Sidney are expected to reopen in early July 2009. Other bridges over I-55 included in this project are EB Arsenal, Gravois/12th Street and Gravois at Russell Avenue. Start dates for work on these bridges will be announced at a future date. Lafayette, Utah and Pestalozzi are complete.
*Poplar Street Bridge between 20th and 14th Streets – The two right lanes of east bound will be closed as well as the Pine Street entrance ramp. Lanes will be reduced between 7 p.m. and 4:30 a.m., Monday thru Thursday. Please use caution when traveling through the work zone.
East Grand at I-70 – This project consists of signalization, ramp widening, drainage, and resurfacing at Grand Avenue, Broadway Street, and Route 70 Interchange. Work involving lane closures will be performed at night between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Work involving ramp closures will be performed on weekends from Friday at 7:00 p.m. to Monday at 4:00 a.m. All work is expected to be complete by July 2009.

St. Charles County

Route 94 between Route 370 Westbound Exit Ramp and Route B- Crews will be milling and paving lanes starting at Route B and working their way south towards Highway 370. Route 94 will be restricted to one lane between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. There will be flaggers present on theroad each day to control the flow of traffic. The speed limit on this roadway is being dropped to 35 MPH during construction operations. The expected completion date for this operation is the end of June 2009.
I-70 between Woodlawn and Lake St. Louis Blvd.- Crews have finished pavement repairs on eastbound and westbound I-70 between Woodlawn and Lake St. Louis Blvd in St. Charles County. Crews will be working on the outer road at Route 61 and the commuter lot at Route P and northbound Route 61. This work is expected to be completed in June, weather permitting. Asphalt work on I-70 between Woodlawn and Lake St. Louis Blvd. will resume in June.
Route 40 between Lake St. Louis Blvd and I-70 –Crews have switched traffic to the new eastbound lanes between Callahan Road and Lake Saint Louis Blvd. Crews have also opened the eastbound entrance ramp from Route 40 to Prospect Road and the eastbound exit ramp from Prospect Road to Route 40.Motorists can use Callahan Road and Lake St. Louis Blvd exits to access other roadways around Route 40 while the remaining work on the upgrade continues. Work is projected to be complete by late 2009. Crews have closed Prospect Road access to Route 40 to allow them to stage material and build a bridge for Prospect Road. Most of the utility relocation work is complete for this project. Crews are completing grading and drainage work. Crews are now working on the westbound lanes, remaining bridge work, and pavement repairs at the 40/61/70 interchange. During this work, MoDOT will also complete construction of the outer road system to make sure access to property along Rte. 40 remains available. Access to all local business will remain open. Once upgrades are complete Rte. 40/61 will be designated as Interstate 64 from the city of St. Louis to I-70 in St. Charles County.
*Route 364 between Jungs Station Road and Jungermann Road- Traffic is currently running on both the North and South Outer Roads, between Jungs Station Road and Jungermann Road. The old Highway 94 pavement has been removed and excavation for the new Route 364 pavement has begun. Harvester Road between the North and South Outer Roads has been closed, and traffic moved to the new Harvester Road Bypass. Harvester Road Overpass Bridge construction has begun and is expected to be completed by late this fall. Subsurface Constructors have started to install the stone columns for MSE wall foundations A7191 and A7192. Piling will begin to be driven at intermediate bent 2, on Tuesday July 7th. To avoid delays on Harvester Road, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes. This is the first section of Phase 2 Route 364. This job includes grading, concrete pavement, drainage, and a steel girder bridge at Harvester Road.

Jefferson County
**Route 30 at Route PP- Crews will begin work on traffic signals, upgrading signs and adding turn lanes starting Monday, July 6. Expect various lane closures daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at this intersection.
Route 30 between Route B and the Jefferson/Franklin County line- Crews will begin removing and replacing shoulders on Route 30 from the Franklin County line to west of Route B in Jefferson County. One lane of Route 30 will be closed each day from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect delays, as flaggers will be in place to direct traffic at the work zone. This reconstruction project consists of repaving, adding paved shoulders and rumble strips. A left turn lane at Route Y. This project is expected to be completed in late November 2009.

West Outer 21 Road south of Route 141- Crews will be repairing erosion along the west outer 21 road south of Route 141 daily beginning Monday, June 15. Access will be restricted to local traffic and only one lane of traffic will be open.
Route MM between Route 21 and Heads Creek Road- Clearing and grubbing, and structure demolitions are complete Utility relocates are still in progress. Traffic is driving on a temporary bypass between Buckeye Valley Rd. and Music Mountain Rd. and also between Robin and Hluzek Valley Rd. This bypass is necessary to allow room for construction of retaining wall. Flaggers may be in place for trucks entering and leaving the roadway. Temporary road closures will be in place for a short time during blasting operations. This job includes pavement, drainage, grading and box culvert extensions on two section of Route MM between Route 21 and Route 30 and is scheduled to be complete in fall of 2010.
Route TT Interchange at Interstate 55 - This project will provide a southbound Interstate 55 off-ramp and a northbound Interstate 55 on-ramp at Rte TT, and rehabilitate the existing Rte TT bridge over I-55. Rte TT is closed at I-55 and is scheduled to reopen by June 1, 2009. A signed detour will be in place. Temporary lane closures on I-55 will also be required on an as-needed basis for ramp construction.
Route 67 from Route 61 to the St. Francois County line - This project is for various intersection improvements and high-tension guard cable installation. Weather permitting there will be median shoulder work on the northbound lanes. No anticipated traffic impacts.

Franklin County
Bridge on Route PP at Hoosier Creek – This project is part of the Safe and Sound Bridge Program. It consists of bridge rehabilitation, grading & resurfacing on Route PP Hoosier Creek Bridge south of Route 30 near St. Clair. On Monday, the bridge will be closed at approximately 8 a.m. and will remain closed until late July (approx. 30 – 45 days – depending on weather). Motorists must follow detour signing at Springfield Road since the bridge will be continuously closed until rehabilitation is completed in late July.
Route 47 at between Hwy. 50 and Hwy. 100 at Country Club Lane - This project is to add a left turn lane on Route 47 from south of the intersection of Route 100 to north of the intersection of Route 50 near Union. This week work is being performed off the shoulder with speed reduced. No impact to traffic is expected while working off the shoulders in order to clear slopes.
*Interstate 44 bridge over the Bourbeuse River- The Eastbound thru lanes at I-44 Bridge over the Bourbeuse River has shifted to the left. There are two 10 Ft. lanes. The lane closure is the middle of the roadway on I-44 and one 11 ft. lane is to the right of the closed lane and one 11 ft. lane goes to the left of the closed lane. The EB Lane Closure will be in the Right Lanes beginning Monday night, June 15, 2009 with two10 Ft. left lanes open for Eastbound I-44 Traffic. On Westbound I-44, there are two lanes to the left of the closure that are each 10 Ft. wide. The ramp from Eastbound Hwy. 50 to Eastbound I-44 is closed to allow for safer work zone and prevent unsafe merging of traffic onto I-44 Eastbound at Hwy. 50 while eastbound Bourbeuse River Bridge is being rehabilitated. Motorists traveling on Route 50 eastbound must follow detour to Route AT to Route 100 to access Eastbound Interstate 44. Motorists can also detour to eastbound I44 by traveling 5 miles from Hwy. 50 (Exit 247) on westbound Interstate 44 to Route AH overpass (Exit 242) to crossover highway and get back onto eastbound Interstate 44. Crews are rehabilitating the bridge on eastbound Interstate 44 over the Bourbeuse River. The on-ramp will stay closed until work is completed in late July 2009.
Bridge on Route AT over the Bourbeuse River-
Roadway work at Route AT over the Bourbeuse River is completed and temporary signals have been removed. The Eastbound and Westbound thru lanes at I-44 Bridge over the Bourbeuse River has been reduced down to 10 ft. lanes for several weeks in order to rehabilitate the bridge decks. The ramp from Eastbound Hwy. 50 to Eastbound I-44 is closed to allow for safer work zone and prevent unsafe merging of traffic onto I-44 Eastbound at Hwy. 50 while eastbound Bourbeuse River Bridge is being rehabilitated. Motorists traveling on Route 50 eastbound must follow detour to Route AT to Route 100 to access Eastbound Interstate 44. Motorists can also detour to eastbound I44 by traveling 5 miles from Hwy. 50 (Exit 247) on westbound Interstate 44 to Route AH overpass (Exit 242) to crossover highway and get back onto eastbound Interstate 44. Crews are rehabilitating the bridge on eastbound Interstate 44 over the Bourbeuse River. The on-ramp will stay closed until work is completed in late July 2009.
*Bridge on Route 47 over the Missouri River - Motorist can expect traffic delays, as the Bridge will reduce to one lane traffic controlled by signals starting July 6. The closing of one lane is necessary to allow crews access for the next phase of repairs which will focus on painting. First St., Second St. and Missouri Ave. will also need to be closed off at Rte 47 to reduce congestion. There has been a reduction in the Weight Limit of the bridge to 20 tons until the end of the project, which is scheduled for December. Motorist will be informed of changes to the conditions of this project by changeable message signs and by additional news release. Please allow extra time for travel. This work will consist of bridge rehabilitation at the Franklin/Warren County line in the City of Washington, the total length of the improvement being 0.485 mile. Construction is expected to be completed in December 2009.
*Route I-44 Exit #225 at Sullivan, MO – This project is for bridge rehabilitation, optional pavement widening, and ramps at Exit 225 (I-44/ Hwy. D) in Sullivan, MO. The exit 225 overpass will have periodic lane closures. Be aware of workers (flaggers) and drive slowly. Daytime and nighttime lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-44 for painting operations. There is also possible shoulder work on Exit #225. The bridge IS OPEN TO TRAFFIC. The westbound south outer road traffic approaching the Rte D (I-44) Exit 225 overpass will now only be able to make a right onto the Rte. D (I-44) overpass. No left turns or thru movements will be allowed due to a newly constructed concrete island which will help reduce congestion at this overpass. This project is expected to be completed by September 4, 2009.
Route 100 east of South Point Rd. to Route AT in the City of Washington - Working on the bridge at Dubois Creek on Highway 100. From Route 100 to Old Highway 100, blasting and excavation operations at various times. Railroad bridge construction is complete and seed and mulching operations continue at various locations. Crews are constructing retaining walls at various locations. This project will widen Route 100 from the City of Washington going east to Route I-44. The project is expected to be completed by late Summer 2010.
